Approach

Karlene is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has had over 27 years assisting individuals to gain insight and to take up new ways of action. Her expertise is being able to capture what is happening for individuals and offer practical solutions that lead to meaningful and lasting change.

Often approached by individuals in the midst of distress and change, she works in a way that supports them personally whilst giving them strategies and insights. Her style is both challenging and supportive. She has a reputation for straight talking with integrity, helping to individuals to develop strength and competence with much humanness. Her work is empathetic and collaborative in nature, where she openly explores and generates answers together with clients.

Karlene's work is informed by a range of evidence-based frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Brief Psychological Interventions.
